Important Update on Covid-19 Impact
Now we are allowed to open we will have to abide by strict social distancing rules whilst you are on site to protect our guests, ourselves and our cleaning helpers. In order to help comply with this we will not be opening the swimming pool, games room or other communal play facilities in the grounds. For the remainder of this year there will be no organised animal feeding runs or guinea pig cuddling. You can, of course, still wander around to see the animals but maintaining social distancing between yourselves and other families staying on the farm.
To ensure your safety we have made the decision to leave a full week between each booking to enable thorough cleaning and to reduce the chance of cross contamination between guests. Although this seriously affects our capacity we believe it is the right option to give our guests piece of mind.
We look forward to welcoming you to our safe spot in the North Devon countryside albeit in a slightly different format to normal.

Have an alfresco meal or a cup of tea or even a gentle rest in the gardens surrounded by beautiful birdsong. Look out for the returning swallows and swifts when they start to return. They appear every year around the 17th April after their 4,000 mile journey back from South Africa to raise their young in our barns, outbuildings and cottage eaves. Why not take a stroll around the farm through field, ancient woodland and lane enjoying the countryside views, our animals and the wildlife or wander along the local lanes and paths through the stunning scenery.
There are several walks around here that can be enjoyed just by stepping out of your holiday cottage doorway. Look out for some of the many different species of birdlife here or try to catch a glimpse of some deer in the fields or woods. Watch the bees, busy in the hedgerows gathering their nectar to take home to their hives. Enjoy the soft, sweet scented air so special to Devon. There is a folder in each cottage full of leaflets giving details of the vast number of sights, attractions and places to visit during your holiday here in North Devon. The cottages also have walking books containing various routes so that you can really explore and enjoy North Devon during your holiday covering both countryside and coastal walks in North Devon and Exmoor.
We are surrounded by fields and woodland which provide a rich habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Deer can regularly be seen in our woodland. The huge population of birdlife includes Nuthatches, Tree Creepers, Pheasants, Partridge, Woodcock, Spotted Fly Catchers, Long Tailed Tits, Buzzards, Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Goldfinches, Bullfinches, Coal Tits along with the more common Blackbirds, Thrushes, Sparrows, Greenfinches, Great Tits and Blue Tits. We look forward to the Swallows returning each spring and watch them raising their broods in the barns.
