Short Breaks and Holidays for Couples

Short Breaks for couples self catering north devon

Everyone needs to grab a short time every now and then to recharge your batteries and just be yourself amongst fresh air and beautiful scenery. Lower Hearson Farm is very close to both long sandy beaches and the 267 square miles of the stunning national park which is Exmoor. A perfect base for you to pop out and enjoy a lovely day and return to your cottage, suitably relaxed, to put your feet up in a cosy environment and just chill out for the evening. Couples can choose any cottage depending on how much space they want to spread out in.

We are very close to some spectacular gardens that are open to the public. These include RHS Rosemoor, Tapely Park and Marwood Hill. See our Out and About pages for more details.

North Devon is an ideal area to visit out of season. Most attractions are open year round and a long empty beach, out of season, is a great place to walk and enjoy the views in idyllic solitude. Exmoor is especially atmospheric in the autumn and winter.  There are large numbers of wild red deer that can be seen with patience. In the late autumn during the rut, the stags can be heard roaring in the wooded valleys. The Exmoor ponies are delightful and can be seen all year round
