As Christmas Day and New Years Day are on a Monday in 2017 we thought that a good day to start your holiday if staying for a week in a cottage here would be on Friday 22nd or Friday 29th December putting the festivities in the middle of your stay with us. Plenty of time to get your festive arrangements set up and a couple of days recovery time before going home. Within these dates we also offer short breaks for those of you who just want to get away from it all and have a quiet festive period. Click Here for our cottage Christmas availability and prices.

We generally benefit from a warm climate courtesy of the “Gulf Stream” but the festive snowy pictures are from Christmas 2010 when everybody enjoyed the festive countryside and a relaxing holiday tucked up in a warm cosy cottage or playing outside in the snow.
Each cottage always has seasonal goodies as a gift from us waiting for you ready for your Christmas time celebrations to begin the moment you arrive. Book a full week and we will provide a box full of delicious Christmas food to get you in the mood and for you to enjoy during your holiday.
Whatever the time of year the animals always need feeding and checking that they have a nice warm bed with their stockings hung up ready for a special visit by Farmer Christmas on the Christmas Eve feeding run. If the children keep a careful watch out of the cottage window for him in the farmyard they can run to help him feed the animals as he is so busy on Christmas Eve. Before he leaves each little helper can pick a small gift from one of the bags he is carrying.
There are many good pubs and restaurants in this area that are open for Christmas Dinner although early booking is essential as they get booked up very quickly. There is no better way to throw off the excesses of Christmas Dinner than to take a walk along one of the many local sandy beaches or cliff top paths that North Devon has to offer.
