The Shippon is converted from the farm shippon with its own private parking and patio area where you can sit under the stars in the evening. There is so little light pollution here that the longer you look the magnificence of the milky way can be seen.

There is a comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove, TV, Freeview, Video, DVD player and mini Hi-Fi. A telephone is provided for incoming calls. The fitted kitchen includes electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge-freezer. A conservatory leads from the kitchen to the large separate dining room which has a sofa, TV, DVD and Video Player. This area also has an adjoining bathroom. Also downstairs is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs has one double bedroom, a bedroom with three single beds and a family bathroom. All bathrooms comprise bath, shower attachment, wc & hand basin.

The property is fully centrally heated. Between the months of September and May central heating is available in the cottage (for heating times see terms and conditions page). The cost of central heating is included within the cottage rental. Central heating is switched off from the beginning of June to the end of August but the woodburner in the sitting room is always there to provide a warm cosy glow. The electricity is included in the price. Bed linen is provided and all beds will be made up awaiting your arrival. Towels are available to hire only by separate arrangement.

Guests share use of our Outdoor, Heated, Covered Swimming Pool and Games Room/Childrens play area.

Book 7 nights in this cottage for either of the weeks commencing 7th, 14th or 21st May 2011 and we will give you two complimentary return tickets for a trip on the MS Oldenburg from nearby Bideford or Ilfracombe to Lundy Island voted the Boat Trip of the year. Lundy Island is renowned for special wild life and breathtaking scenery and makes a wonderful daytrip. Please note that dogs are not permitted on Lundy Island.
